How do you keep track of your recipes? I don’t write any down, the ones I make up I try to blog about right away so I can remember what I did and if we liked it. But I also find tons of recipes on other blogs, recipe sites, foodbuzz and the foodnetwork.
A great way to keep track of recipes you find on-line is the bookmarks in Firefox. My husband is a nerd and downloaded Firefox as our web browser. I love it! They recently updated their bookmarks feature so that you can not only bookmark a page, but also give it tags. For instance, I can bookmark a soup recipe, but then add tags like “chicken, carrots, onions, peppers”. When I am looking for something to make with chicken, I can type that into my browser field and up pops a list of all my bookmarks with chicken, I can type another ingredient and it narrows it down to the ones with both those ingredients.
Even better, you can synchronize your bookmarks so that you can download them to any computer you use firefox on. This feature has really helped me keep track of the recipes I want to save without having to print them or anything like that.
