I just love this edible gift. Have you ever roasted apples before? Did you even know you could? When you do, once it gets sizzling hot, the skin blisters, chars, and peels right off. Underneath is a delightfully steaming, soft, and tender apple. You can eat it as is, or make it absolutely magical by rolling it in a bit of cinnamon sugar.
This little kit contains all the ingredients to roast apples. You just need a roasting stick and an open flame to make it an apple roasting party. I like to put a little burlap or raffia in the bag and just tie it with a piece of yarn. You could also use ribbon, and use scalloped scissors to cut the tags out, if you’re feeling fancy. I have a teething ten month old so I can’t remember the last time I was feeling fancy.
There are so many great edible gift kits that require a bit of work on the part of the recipient. There’s cookie mix in a jar, soup mix in a jar, hot cocoa mix in a bag, and more I just can’t think of at the moment. A great things about this edible gift kit is that your gift recipient may be just as thrilled to simple eat the apple as is and save the cinnamon sugar for making toast. It’s one of those gifts that can be really fun, but they also don’t have to find the time in order to consume it.
Here’s a couple pdfs with the front and back of a sheet of 20 gift tags.
I’ve also got a cinnamon sugar recipe for you.
Now I’d love to know, do you have a favorite edible gift to receive?
