Baby Gender Reveal

Last month, we had the ultrasound to discover the gender of our sweet little baby. A couple days later, we threw a little party for our immediate family to share the news with a surprise cake. And we captured it all in photos!

Our adorable cake was by Jennifer Berg of Jenn’s Sweetcakes. Not only was it incredibly cute, but it also tasted AMAZING!!! If you’re in the Auburn, Washington area I highly recommend her for cakes for any occasion.

From left to right we have my father, mother, and brother, Eric’s mother, sister (who’s due a month after us!), and father, and my sister. Everyone was wearing pink or blue ribbons to show what gender they thought the baby would be.

And so Eric SLOWLY cuts the cake…

That’s right friends, WE’RE HAVING A GIRL!!!!!!!

We are so excited to welcome our little darling into the world, potentially quite a bit earlier than we were expecting. She measured 2.5 weeks ahead of her due date, so we have a new due date of January 31, 2015. Time will only tell if we have yet another January birthday in our family.

Maternity cousin hug

We’re also so excited that Eric’s sister and brother-in-law are having a baby due in March. We’ve been getting lots of cousin hug photos with these two, just like we did with Corban and their son who’s a couple months younger.

Thanks for celebrating with us! Come back Monday morning for a new recipe for homemade dishwasher detergent that’s streak free.
