Among Us Birthday Party Fruit and Veggie Tray

Among Us has taken over the internet as pretty much the most popular video game at the moment.

I was a little concerned when my kids first showed me a video of someone playing it, until I realized that the game is basically a virtual version of the party games Wink Murder and Mafia that I loved playing as a kid.

Since I love making cute food, I decided there was no better way to get my kids to eat endless amounts of fruit and vegetables than turning them into an Among Us crewmate…or impostor…you decide.

Whether you’re throwing an Among Us birthday party, or just want a healthy surprise for your kids, this fruit and veggie tray is easy to make and fine for them to fill up on.

How to make Among Us fruit and veggie tray

STEP 1: The first step in this healthy Among Us birthday party platter is creating the outline using blackberries.

I used a giant white platter I have from Bed Bath and Beyond, but you could also use this melamine platter, a big sheet pan or cheese board.

Because my platter has a rim the backpack outline wouldn’t stay. So the next step was to fill in the green part of the backpack and then even up the outline.

Step 2: Use scissors to trim the stem off a few big pieces of broccoli so they sit flat.

Step 3: Use broccoli to fill in the bottom section (dark green) and green grapes for the top section (light green). If this is for an Among Us birthday party and the birthday kid HATES broccoli, you could substitute something else green like sugar snap peas, cucumber sticks, or kiwi slices.

Step 4: Start filling in above the visor outline with green grapes. It works better if you stand the grapes on end rather than laying them sideways. Then use broccoli to outline the curve between light green and dark green in the body.

Step 5: Place a wide strip of cauliflower in the center of the visor. Surround the cauliflower with blueberries, then make a row of black grapes beneath them to finish off the visor.

Step 6: Once the visor is filled, finish the dark green layer of the body (broccoli) before you fill in the rest of the light green grapes.

Step 7: Cut several green grapes lengthwise in halves and quarters to fill in and cover up any white spots in your light green areas. You can also tuck small pieces of broccoli in to fill in the dark green areas.

Step 8: Stack another row of blackberries on top, anywhere you want to clean up the black outline. This is especially important around the visor, in between his back and backpack, and right where the outline goes above one leg.
