I enjoy the Super Bowl, in fact I like watching football period. Eric doesn’t really, so we decided that we’d go snowshoeing today instead. I am so stoked because it’s been two years since we’ve been able to snowshoe. In case you need a last minute tasty treat for a Superbowl party, here’s one of the simplest dips.
I have to give my sister Sharon credit for this one. Eric and I went to my parents for dinner when some relatives were in town. I scooped up some of this dip and couldn’t believe I’d never made it before. 3 ingredients! Sour cream, taco seasoning, and cheddar cheese. Simply put in about a tsp of taco seasoning for every half cup of sour cream, mix together and top with a layer of shredded cheddar. Eat it with tortilla chips. This is one of my favorites now. Thanks sis!
By the way, here’s a video of Eric’s 96 year old grandpa trying to play Wii Bowling at Eric’s mom’s surprise b-day party today. We think he had more fun with Mario Kart.
Oooh that is so funny I just made that dip the other day! I also think the sour cream with taco seasoning makes a great layer in a 7 layer dip, with refried beans, guacamole, and whatever else you like on there. I have found pretty much any mexican food you would put sour cream on, tastes better with some taco seasoning 🙂
That is funny. I am a huge fan of 7 layer dip. Remember when I brought it to youth staff retreat but it slid around in the car so was really 7 ingredient mixed dip? It was still delicious! I buy taco seasoning in the big Sam’s Club size. Totally saves me money.
Oh, I love that kind of food!
Cheers,
Rosa
Yum Yum on the simple dip! Ps:I have good posture!
Hahah, his grandpa is adorable! I love dips like that, too. It’s like a requisite for any gathering of more than two people.
