Healthy Cooking on a Tight Budget
I love that I’ve been able to help so many people around the world learn how easy it can be to cook healthy food on very little money. But I also believe in stepping outside of the virtual world to do what I can in my own community. That’s how the Healthy Cooking on a Tight Budget program was born.
In June of 201o I began teaching classes free to the community through a partnership with the City of Auburn, the Auburn Valley YMCA, the Auburn Food Bank and Mosby Farm. These classes have had over 400 participants from the South King County area in the past two years .
I also contract with various organizations and community groups to offer classes for their clients, as well as healthy snack booths at festivals and other events.
If you are an organization in Western Washington and are interested in offering a cooking class to your clients, please contact me to discuss the details.
If you have participated in the Healthy Cooking on a Tight Budget Program and are looking for recipes from class, you can use the search box at the top of the page or search by ingredient. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for feel free to contact me.
If you would like to be kept up to date on future classes, please join the Healthy Cooking on a Tight Budget group on Facebook.
We'd love to keep in touch. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter and get your free download of our favorite healthy cute kid snacks.
