For those of you who have waited with baited breath, you can breathe again. I was not selected for the final three for the next Verity Mom. (Maybe because I look WAY too much like the current Verity Mom!)
Here’s the thing. I feel REALLY good about it. I went into this knowing I would be amazing at the job, but also that if I didn’t get it, I would be more than okay. In fact, I’m slightly relieved because I know it means I will have time to focus on building and growing Eating Richly Even When You’re Broke and adding on some related projects (Cookbook???).
That said, I am SO thankful to each and every one of you who watched my videos, commented, and voted for me. You rock!!! I felt so supported, loved, and encouraged.
I’m also really thankful for the process itself. The meetup was so much fun, it felt more like a networking and media personality skill building session than an interview process. I made some friends that I will definitely keep in touch with, and I solidified my belief that Verity is an AWESOME credit union. We will be transferring our accounts there ASAP!
Oh and be sure to check out the blogs of some of my fellow not in the top three-ers and show them some love as well: Mermaid City, Glitter in the Grey, and Sowdering About in Seattle.
Thanks again for your support, and know that I’m okay. In fact, I’m better than okay, I’m doing great! I really want to make a big announcement about my next project (Cookbook????) but am just going to leave it at that. Love you all!
I’m sorry you didn’t make it, but I’m excited about whatever is next for you. 🙂
Diana,
Is that a picture of you with the current Verity Mom? WOW ~ You DO look like her. lol
What a wonderful experience for you and I bet you are such an encouragement to all you were around. (as always)
Way to go & congratulations on your participation and where God’s next adventure is for you.
Love,
Kelly
