My Latest Kitchen Gadget

I knew that egg poachers were going to be the Foodbuzz Special today, and thought (somewhat enviously) of what wonderful dishes I could make if I could have perfect poached eggs every time.  Then, at a garage sale on our street, I was so excited to find this brand new $40 egg poacher set for only $1!!!  I know!!  They were getting rid of it because they never used it.  Personally I’m tired of only sometimes succeeding in poaching my eggs in swirling water and was thrilled at how easy this was to use.

I can’t get you a deal quite as good as mine, but if you desperately need one for yourself, there’s an egg poacher set on Amazon for only $18 with several good reviews.  Come back tomorrow to find out the first poached egg dish I made!

  1. I was looking for a recipe and a google search returned your site. It’s really fun. Also, I recently learned how to make poached eggs without swirling water. In a pan, bring water to very hot but not boiling, then gently break your eggs into the water and cover until done to your liking. Thanks for sharing your adventures with food!
